The Kursalon has been providing classical music and dancing in the City park since 1868. Originally built as a spa offering mineral water, the Kursalon soon turned into a venue for dazzling garden parties. It was here that Johann Strauss, the Waltz King, entertained the Austrian High Society.

Today the Kursalon is the home of the Salonorchestra "Alt Wien". Their repertoire of concerts, operetta and  ballet is displayed in the refurbished Renaissance building all year round.

The Kursalon also has a coffee shop and a restaurant.
