Italian baritone Roberto Frontali sings Rigoletto, a deformed court jester determined to protect the virtue of his daughter, Gilda, sung by radiant soprano Nina Minasyan. His debauched employer, the Duke of Mantua, is tenor Piero Pretti, with maestro Riccardo Frizzaon on the podium to lead a cast that also features bass Riccardo Zanellato as the assassin Sparafucile and mezzo-soprano Martina Belli as Maddalena.
