Orchestra 1756

Orchestra 1756 is one of Europe’s top-tier Baroque ensembles specializing in 17th- & 18th-century repertoire performed on period instruments. The orchestra maintains concert series in Vienna, Salzburg and Munich.

Highlights of recent seasons include an engagement in Peking, performances at prestigious festival and venues, including Bad Kissinger Sommer, Mozart Festival Bratislava and Tartini-Festival Piran, and collaborations with Daniel Kotlinski, Giulio Carmignola, Vittorio Ghielmi, and Vesselina Kasarova.

Orchestra 1756 has recorded numerous CDs of, among other works, Mozart’s “Requiem”, Leopold Mozart’s Trio Sonata op.1, Vivaldi’s “Four Seasons”, Scarlatti’s “Il martirio della St. Cecilia”.
